Toyo has released the 195/50R16 and the 225/45R17 Proxes R888 for the Lotus Elise.

The R888 is a DOT tire that is designed for competition driving and can be used on the street.

A unique semi-slick shoulder area, continuous center contact, and enhanced R compound combined with the V-shaped tread design make the R888 ideal for road racing, track days, and high performance driving schools.  In competition, the improvements in casing and tread design increase dry performance, while maintaining wet traction and control.  The R888 provides consistent performance throughout the life of the tread.
